Sales Assistant - Bakersfield, CA

SUMMARY:  To assist the sales department guiding the station’s sales team efforts to achieve and/or exceed sales objectives necessary to enhance American General Media leadership as the dominant broadcast source of quality information, entertainment and community involvement, while creating an internal climate which ensures growth and profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. This is a multi-tasking position with many interruptions, requiring organization, dependability, focus and client confidentiality.  Other duties may be assigned. 

 

1.)   Interact closely with National Rep to ensure smooth and accurate delivery of campaigns

2.)   Assist with smooth and accurate delivery of campaigns of House Accounts

3.)   Complete commission reports for submission to Payroll department and Director of Sales monthly.

4.)   Responds to client requests, e.g., spot times, invoice requests, etc.

5.)   Generates contract confirmations, reports related to sales activities & revenue data

6.)   Complete Talent reports for submission to Payroll department biweekly.

7.)   Complete commission reports for submission to Payroll department and Director of sales monthly.

8.)   Assist with creating media kits and assist Account Executives with one sheets and packages presentations

9.)   Create customer correspondence and follow-up routine.

10.)  Assist with organization of NTR events and assist Account Executives with client communications for these events.

11.)  Other duties as assigned
